A delightful treat combining soft, sweet bread with fresh apples and a hint of cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • Total Time: 75 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
  8. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  9. Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. While cooling, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
  12. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
  13. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh apples for better flavor. Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread fluffy.
