Ingredients

- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 24 ladyfingers
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar over medium heat until combined. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooled egg mixture with the mascarpone cheese and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and gently fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
- Dip each ladyfinger in the brewed coffee for 1-2 seconds and layer them in a dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder. Enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of coffee liqueur to the coffee before dipping the ladyfingers.
