Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 1 lb boudin sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or pepper jack)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional garnishes (e.g., green, yellow, and purple sprinkles)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent rolls and lay them out on a baking sheet, forming a circle by overlapping the ends slightly.
- In a bowl, mix the boudin sausage (removed from casing) and shredded cheese until combined.
- Spoon the boudin mixture onto the crescent roll circle, leaving space on the edges.
- Fold the edges of the crescent rolls over the filling, sealing it to form a cake shape.
- Brush the top with beaten egg for a beautiful golden color.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, garnish with festive sprinkles.
