Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M’s

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat until it turns golden and has a nutty aroma. Let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and browned butter.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the M&M’s.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
