  • Yield: 8-10 biscuits 1x

Description

Fluffy, cheesy, and melt-in-your-mouth good—these biscuits are dangerously delicious!

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional, but recommended)

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¾ cup buttermilk (or ¾ cup milk + 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (for a slight sweetness)

For Brushing:

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prep
Heat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Cut in Butter
Add the cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or fork to cut it into the flour until you get a coarse, crumbly texture.
  • Add Cheese
Toss in the shredded cheddar and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Add Buttermilk & Honey
Pour in the buttermilk and honey, stirring just until the dough comes together. Don’t overmix! It should be slightly sticky.
  • Shape & Bake
Drop heaping spoonfuls onto the baking sheet (or use a biscuit cutter for round ones). Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Brush with Butter
Mix melted butter with garlic powder and parsley. Brush over warm biscuits for extra flavor.
