- 500 grams chicken
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- Black pepper to taste
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- Curry leaves
- Coconut oil for frying onions
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Deep fry the sliced onions in coconut oil until golden brown, being careful not to burn them.
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, black pepper, garam masala powder, and salt.
- Add the fried onions to the marinated chicken.
- Cook the mixture on medium flame until the chicken is fully cooked and the gravy is thick or reduced to a dry consistency.
Notes
Marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight for enhanced flavor. Adjust the red chili powder to control the spice level. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or potatoes for added nutrition.
