Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 lb circular dumpling wrapper
  • 2 cups napa cabbage (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 green onions (sliced)
  • 6 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 inches ginger (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • Dumpling dipping sauce
  • Additional green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix napa cabbage with salt, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse and squeeze out moisture.
  2. Combine chicken, napa cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chicken bouillon, and white pepper in a bowl to make the filling.
  3. Prepare dumpling wrappers by wetting edges, placing filling in center, and sealing with pleats.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place dumplings, sear for 2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Add water to pan and steam covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with dipping sauce, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure to squeeze excess water from cabbage to avoid soggy dumplings. You can prepare the filling in advance.
