Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ tsp salt
1 cup milk chocolate or semi-sweet chips (melted)
Instructions
1. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
2. Add the egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
3. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then add to the wet ingredients.
4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
5. Press each ball’s center gently with your thumb.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
7. Press centers again lightly after baking and fill with melted chocolate.
8. Cool completely before serving.

Chill the dough if it’s too soft to shape.
