- 54 g (â…“ cup) Christmas jimmies sprinkles
- 283 g (1¼ bricks / 10 oz) full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 184 g (13 Tbsp) salted butter, softened
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- â…› tsp salt
- 150 g (1¼ cups) powdered sugar, sifted
- 80 ml (â…“ cup) cold heavy cream
- 24 g (2 Tbsp) Christmas sprinkles (jimmies, nonpareils, trees, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line 2-3 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 1-2 minutes).
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until combined (about 30 seconds).
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the Christmas jimmies sprinkles.
- Use a 3-tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the dough, roll into balls, and place on baking sheets, flattening each slightly.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set.
- Let the cookies cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add vanilla extract and salt, then mix in powdered sugar gradually.
- Drizzle in cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Frost cookies and sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles before serving.
- Store in an airtight container.
Notes
Make sure your butter is softened for easier mixing. For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months.
