- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

- 12 oz penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti
- Salt, for the pasta water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes
- Fresh lemon juice
- Sautéed vegetables (optional)
- Shrimp (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by seasoning it with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika, followed by heavy cream and chicken broth, simmering until combined.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked pasta and sliced chicken with the cream sauce, mixing well.
- Garnish with parsley, red pepper flakes, and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
Notes
Customize with your choice of vegetables or substitute shrimp for chicken for a different flavor.
