  • Total Time: 2 hours 5 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling

1 box yellow cake mix

½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted

½ cup caramel sauce

1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

1. Spray your crockpot with nonstick spray.

2. Pour both cans of apple pie filling into the bottom of the crockpot and spread evenly.

3. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.

4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top – do not stir.

5. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.

6. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours until the top is golden and bubbly.

7. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

You can swap yellow cake mix for spice cake mix for extra fall flavor.

For added crunch, sprinkle chopped pecans on top before cooking.

Store leftovers in the crockpot (unplugged) and reheat on ‘warm’ for 15 minutes.
