Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry puree (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and fold in the chopped strawberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. While the bread is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar with strawberry puree until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread before slicing. Enjoy!
