A fun twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, these bite-sized snacks are perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 1 cup thinly shredded cheese
  • 6 thinly sliced ham (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Trim the crust off the bread.
  2. Roll the bread flat using a rolling pin.
  3. Add the shredded cheese on top and optional ham.
  4. Roll it up tightly and use toothpicks if necessary to hold it together.
  5. Heat a skillet to medium or medium-low and add the butter.
  6. Place the roll-ups in the pan and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, turning periodically until they brown evenly.
  7. Remove from the skillet and cut in half if desired. Serve warm!

Notes

For a sweet version, add cream cheese and fruit preserves instead of cheese and ham.
