- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp melted butter or oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Drop small spoonfuls of batter (about 1-2 teaspoons) onto the skillet.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook another minute until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
- Serve stacked with syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar.
