- 6 large onions, peeled and quartered
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp thyme (fresh or dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter and sauté onions until golden and soft.
- Add broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20-25 minutes until onions are tender.
- Serve warm with crusty bread for dipping.
