  • 190 g all-purpose flour
  • 75 g natural cocoa powder

  • 115 g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 100 g light-tasting oil
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 330 g milk (room temperature)
  • 250 g cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
  • 115 g unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 70 g strawberry jam
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 g strawberries (finely diced)
  • 7 strawberries (halved for decoration)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine 500 g strawberries, 50 g sugar, and 1 tablespoon water. Cook on medium heat until softened. Let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix 190 g flour, 75 g cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, combine 115 g melted butter, 100 g light oil, 100 g granulated sugar, and 100 g brown sugar. Beat in 2 eggs, then add 330 g milk.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool.
  5. Beat 250 g softened cream cheese, 115 g softened butter, and 100 g powdered sugar until smooth. Add 70 g strawberry jam and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir in 200 g finely diced strawberries.
  6. Once the chocolate cake is cool, slice it into two layers. Spread strawberry jam on the bottom layer, then half of the frosting. Place second layer on top and frost top and sides with remaining frosting. Decorate with halved strawberries.
